"The Vampire Diaries" has already started its final season. But fans are still struggling to know what is Sybil, the new villain and how the final arc of the series will unfold.

"The Vampire Diaries" stars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley who plays Damon and Stefan Salvatore, respectively, tried to explain how Sybil controlled Damon and Enzo (Michale Malarkey). In the end, it had been a struggle for the two actors to say enough but not too much.

According to TVLine, "The Vampire Diaries" main actor Paul Wesley tried to say that the final season will be the "conclusion of what evil sins must these characters pay their dues for." He also noted that the "religious undertones" of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 are often lost on him.

On the other hand, Ian Somerhalder described his working relationship with co-star and on-screen brother Paul Wesley. He said that they can look into each other and they would know what the other was thinking.

The connection they had, according to "The Vampire Diaries" star, is special and that their performance had shown it. The actor was referring to a recent "The Vampire Diaries" episode they shot.

On other news, Entertainment Tonight had connected with showrunner Julie Plec to answer some "The Vampire Diaries" questions ever fan is asking.

For one, will former "The Vampire Diaries" mainstay Nina Dobrev come back for the series' finale?

The showrunner was asked if Nina Dobrev will come back for "The Vampire Diaries" as previously reported. According to the producer, the cards will likely be in every fan's favor. Julie Plec was apparently in contact with Nina Dobrev and she is a hundred percent sure the actress wants to be in the series.

And so, it's likely that fans will see Elena Gilbert once again in "The Vampire Diaries."

Apart from that, fans had also seen an exclusive sneak peek of Damon reading "Fifty Shades of Grey." The fun crossover got all fangirls cheering as Ian Somerhalder was once the number one choice to be Christian Grey.

It turned out that Julie Plec and the author of the book were friends and they had a lot of fun with the crossover.
