'Injustice 2' Release Date, News, Rumors: Hidden Clues Reveal Captain Cold, The Atom and Ra’s Al Ghul

NetherRealm Studios have not confirmed the villains for the highly anticipated "Injustice 2" but recent reports seem to have unveiled clues which allegedly were hidden from the official trailers and tweets, pointing to the potential new characters be included in the next sequel.

Captain Cold is highly rumored to appear in the upcoming "Injustice 2." Multiple reports believe this theory when NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon posted a poll on his Twitter account trying to fish some preferences of the fans. The poll asked about the character that they most want to see in the upcoming game, and Captain Cold was included in the options.

Although Captain Cold did not earn the most number of votes, the rumor was further strengthened when a photo of an "Injustice 2" promo shirt was posted on the Twitter account of ESL Mortal Kombat. Apparently, the prints on the swag included the image of Captain Cold's Freeze Gun, which seems to tease his appearance in the game.

Furthermore, another report came out claiming the same rumor that Captain Cold will probably join "Injustice 2" bearing another proof. NetherRealm Studios might have included some stuff in the announcement trailer as hidden clues for the next sequel of "Injustice."

It is interesting to note that fans were too keen to have noticed the image of Captain Cold's freeze gun which was quickly flashed at the beginning of the trailer for "Injustice 2," EventsHub reported. The alleged image of the freeze gun can be seen at 0:09 of the trailer.

The rumor emphasized that since The Flash has now been added in the "Injustice 2," it is probable that his nemesis, Captain Cold will also share the limelight with him in the upcoming game.

Aside from Captain Cold, there were two other DC characters rumored to join the roster in the next sequel due to their popularity in the DC TV series.

The Atom is also rumored to appear in the upcoming game. The trailer did not give any hints about his arrival to the game but the publication said this character's powers can give the listed superhero characters of "Injustice 2" a hard time.

In addition, Ra's Al Ghul, one of Batman's strongest enemies, is also rumored to arrive in the "Injustice 2." The site figured out another hidden clue from the trailer too, referring to some lines in the trailer which seems to tease the presence of Ra's Al Ghul. Fans may recall that some lines sound like the famous lines of Ra's Al Ghul.

"Injustice 2" which is expected to be released in March 2017.
