'Evolve' Development Has Come To An End; Turtle Rock Studios Announced Will No Longer Support Evolve; A New Projcet Coming Out

Turtle Rock Studios confirmed that they will be halting the development for "Evolve" from this day on. The "Evolve" became a massive hit again the moment that 2K Games announced that it will be a free-to-play

According to the VG247, it says on the "Evolve" website that the Turtle Rock Studios had this huge amount of aspiration for "Evolve", after more than a year it seems like everything is not enough. This leads to the announcement that the Turtle Rock Studios will no longer continue the development of the "Evolve" game.

Chris Ashton of the Turtle Rock Studios (co-founder) said that it is also a sad news for them that they need to stop working on "Evolve." Ashton also mentioned that it is the same feeling they have back in the days of Left 4 Dead and they really need to move on as the Digital Trends reported.

Let's not remember that "Evolve" has been rescued by the 2K Games from a near-death situation from the hands of the previous publisher THQ. Since 2K Games takes in-charge of "Evolve," they manage to save the game and release it to a free-to-play model.

"Evolve" has become the number 1 game in the UK sales. Since its release in February 2015, "Evolve" became the 2nd best-selling game in the United States behind The Legend of Zelda. As months pass by, the sales of "Evolve" has significantly dropped via steam, that 2K Games decided to make "Evolve" a free-to-play. As the "Evolve" became free-to-play, millions of players get back in the game and has a massive increase of more than 15% of its players.

The Turtle Rock Studios bid farewell to "Evolve" and is now ready to accept the fact that they need to move on. As per the EnGadget report, the Turtle Rock Studios is now working on a new project that they hope everyone would enjoy.
