'X-Men: Apocalypse' Trailer, Cast & Plot: Stan Lee Teases Unique Cameo Scene, Director Confirms Comic-Like Costumes

The X-Men have started the craze for modern superhero movies, and despite the multitude of modern superheroes popping up these days, The X-Men are up to show once more that they are the premier. "X-Men: Apocalypse" will bring its fans to the history and reborth of the mutant superheroes.

Aside from kicking off the superhero mania, they also set the standard for superhero costumes. In the movie adaptations, characters usually wear dark and leather uniforms, which are very different from their counterpart costumes in the comic-book. For those who prefer the colorful costumes in the comic-book, thy will be done as Bryan Singer, hinted that fans will be seeing costumes close to those they see on the printed page, according to Cinemablend.

Fans have already had a glimpsed of the new costumes of the 2016 blockbuster as Singer posted a photo of Sophie Turner and Lana Condor, with the latter donning on Jubilee's trademark yellow coat.

Moreover, there were talks about Olivia Munn needing a lube to fit in to her Psylocke costume. Similarly, Apocalypse will look similar to his comic-book counterpart, so fans can expect the villain to wear his armor and flowing cape.

On the other hand, Stan Lee, former president and chairman of Marvel Comics, who also co-created Spiderman, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and many other Marvel Comic character will make a cameo scene in the upcoming "X-Men" film, Business Insider reports. Yahoo notes that Lee is among the favorites when it comes to short appearances in his films. In fact, he appeared in over 20 adaptations of his comic-book.

Busines Insider further revels that on Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con, when asked by a fan what his favorite cameo role is, Lee replied that he love them all but the one he just did for the next "X-Men" is his favorite. "I did a cameo for the next 'X-Men' movie....It's a different cameo in that it has one additional thing in it," he said.

Lee's statement triggered one moderator to whisper in his ears, seems the topic was off-limits. However, Lee just jokingly said that the Marvel employees were staring at him with dagger eyes, he even challenged them, "When you say I'm not allowed - will I be arrested?" Fans cheered, Lee won the crowd. So, "X-Men" fans will experience Lee's wittiness again.

As for the characters, Singer is sure that the new cast and younger version of characters Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), and Storm (Alexandra Shipp) will awe the audience. However, he stressed that the character who make the biggest impression will be the titular character, immortal mutant Apocalypse played by Oscar Isaac, Yahoo Parenting has learned.

The director said that the upcoming installment of the movie is different from its previous series, which focused on the conflict between mutants and the humans. Singer said, "It deals with the concept of ancient mutanism, gods and men. It deals with issues that are global. Apocalypse makes no distinction between humans and mutants, only between the weak and the strong."
