Mariah Carey James Packer Breakup: Billionaire Calls Off Wedding, But 'One Sweet Day' Singer Wants To Keep $10M Ring

Mariah Carey is definitely not on the losing end from her break-up with the billionaire bachelor James Packer, if she has a $10-million ring to "rock" it by.

Carey's "Fantasy" engagement with the billionaire did not push through, as reports state that it was Packer who has decided to end the "Jamiah" love team.

In a report from Woman's Day, the mega-rich James Packer supposedly broke up with Mariah due to her spending ways. If this is the case, James has turned out to be a cheapskate after all, despite allowing Mariah to keep her $10-million dollar ring.

It was also reported that James ended their romance because of Mariah's TV show, "Mariah's World." Reports say that although James was supportive of Mariah with her show, it would seem that James was not really open and had major reservations to the fact that their private lives would become public and repeatedly stated that he felt "exposed."

But, according to TMZ, the fault of the break-up was not entirely on James. The source said that the "Heartbreaker" singer is indeed a heartbreaker, as Mariah was seen getting cozy with one of her co-dancers during one of her stints in Las Vegas.

In a report from UsMagazine, Mariah's fairy-tale-like romance ended when the #Jamiah loveteam had a fight during their vacation in Greece in September. Could their fight be because of Mariah's flings? Or was it because of the singer's extravagant taste? Whatever it was that ended their short-lived romance, Mariah does not seem to bother much about it.

Rather, Mariah seemed to be leaning on to her ex-husband, Nick Cannon, for comfort. A source from Hollywood Life stated that the two were seen together and was even planning to sport matching Halloween costumes with their kids for Trick-or-Treating.

We are not yet sure if James is aware of this new development, but if he is, he is keeping mum about it. For Mariah, the break-up may have caused her to lose Packer, but it made her $10-million dollar richer. Now who would call that a loss?
