Motorola Latest News, Specs, Release Date: Moto M Packs A 5,100mAh Battery, Full Metal Body Design; Comes Out In December?

High-end and flagship Smartphones are usually those that will almost attract one's attention. Of course, there's no denying that these devices are well-equipped (not to mention expensive) with the latest features and design, and they come with an expectation to carry the name of its maker on the grand stage.

Such is the case of Motorola. Ever since Lenovo took helm of the company in 2014, things played naturally and with positive notes on the side. The new partnership is gaining grounds once again through its plan to unveil two new handhelds later this year.

One of those devices Motorola will be announcing is the Moto M. IB Times tipped that the new Smartphone will come in time for the Holidays, although its specs are already making rounds as of late. Again, these things are common in the field where Motorola is standing: aside from setting up the hype, leaked information, especially those of value, pokes critics, fans and the competition that Motorola is brewing something special.

GSM Arena, who posted several leaked renders of the Moto M, said that it looks like a "refined version" of the Motorola G4. While it considered the same camera layout, the website is also proposing that the Moto M will don a 16megapixel clicker found on the Moto G4 Plus. Android Central meanwhile sees that Motorola's new project is equipped with a 5.5inch Full HD display screen alongside 4GB RAM, 64GB onboard storage and a "full metal body" design.

With all these considered, the Moto M might look and sound like an ordinary flagship. Not quite, though: Motorola threw in a whopping 5,100mAh battery on the Moto M. Pair this with Qualcomm's efficient 625 SoC should make it a worthy companion in terms of endurance and battery life.

On the other hand, Motorola is said to be working on two versions of the Moto M. One is a China exclusive (4GB plus 64GB/128GB storage option), and an international variant (3GB/4GB plus 32GB to 64GB option). All versions will most likely carry Android 6.0 Marshmallow, although Motorola has yet to confirm the Moto M's upgrade to Nougat. It will also have a fingerprint sensor at the back, as well as a 1.5w speaker and a couple of microphones to aid in noise cancellation.
