NBA Trade Rumors: Los Angeles Clippers Reportedly Trading Blake Griffin With Cavaliers' Kevin Love?

There are reports that all-star forward's Blake Griffin of Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland's Kevin Love are both on the trading block. Both players are in their prime and both have a lot of pressure on their shoulders to make their team better.

Blake is only 27 while Kevin is 28 years old. There are still a lot of upwards for both careers. However, there were speculations that both of them does not fit with their current teams.

Love was a dominant double-double force when he's still with the Minnesota Timberwolves and many critics believe that Kevin will never be the same force and does not fit well with the system of the reigning champs, Cleveland Cavaliers. Last season, Love averaged almost a double-double with the Cavs with 16 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 77 regular season games, but not a solid contributor in the championship round, NBA.com reported.

As for Griffin, who has solid stats with the Clips with 21.5 points, 9.6 rebounds and 4 assists for 6 seasons. Despite being one of the top teams in the west, the Clips never went to any Western Conference finals in each and every season with Blake. Critics have doubts whether their team could go any further than the second round of the playoffs.

With Blake's contract on the line at the end of the season, people believe that Griffin would re-sign with the team but some think that he will test free agency. With these SFGate rumors circling around, as well as Kevin Durant signing with the Dubs and left the Thunder with nothing, the Clips might consider shipping Blake to another team before the trade deadline and getting Love might work out for them.

Love may not be that effective last finals or playoffs, but he is still one of the best power forwards there is who can shoot threes and can rebound that well. For the Cavs, a team who needs more inside scoring and an offensive player to lift some burden from LeBron, Blake is one of the efficient scorers in the League right now.

Griffin improved his offensive skills from being a dunk-only player, he stretched his range and can now shoot threes which make him hard to guard. He may experience being on a competitive team that can definitely reach further than just the second round of the playoffs.

The trade deadline is up until February next year and if their respective teams struggled, trading both players might be a good idea and may work out for both teams. King James and Kyrie Irving will have someone to rely on, on the offensive end while CP3 will have another solid contributor under his wing.
