'American Crime Story' Season 3 Spoilers, Cast: 'American Horror Story: Roanoke' Star Lady Gaga To Play As Donatella Versace in FX Series?

Undeniably, Lady Gaga has her way in making fashion speak out a statement for herself, which is why she is perfect for a certain new role in an upcoming "American Crime Story" season. The "American Horror Story" star is rumored to be reprising as fashion icon, Donatella Versace, in the anticipated third installment of "American Crime Story," which tackles about Gianni Versace murder.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the "Perfect Illusion" singer might just appear in another FX-produced series, aside from her current "American Horror Story" gig. Showrunner Ryan Murphy said during Entertainment Weekly's PopFest that casting is in the works for both "American Crime Story" Season 2 and Season 3.

When the executive producer was thrown with one of the most asked questions regarding "American Crime Story" Season 3--who will be portraying as Gianni Versace's sister--Murphy just let out a big grin and asked back, "ya think?" Murphy's co-panellist, Tim Stack, even said that Gaga would make a "perfect Donatella."

Per Cheat Sheet, "American Crime Story" crew has not started filming yet, but there are a few things that are already known before it premieres. As mentioned, the third installment of "American Crime Story" will revolve around the killing of the fashion industry icon, Gianni Versace, as he was killed by Andrew Cunanan in his Miami home.

The cast of "American Crime Story" Season 3 is yet to be finalized, which is why Lady Gaga is still not yet confirmed to collaborate in the FX series. Ryan Murphy will lead the helming of the installment aside from being an executive producer.

"The tragedy of the Versace murder was that it should not have happened," Murphy said during the panel event. "He should have been caught by then. But he wasn't caught because he was targeting gay people, and people didn't care."

"American Crime Story" is in its inaugural season revolving around O.J. Simpson case. The next installment will feature a crime story during Hurricane Katrina, which will premiere next year and will eventually be followed by "American Horror Story" Season 3 Cunanan/Versace Murder.
