‘Supergirl’ Season 2, Episode 4 Spoilers: Alex And Maggie’s Dynamic Leaves Kara Shocked

The Girl of Steel Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) finds herself surprised at how good Maggie (Floriana Lima) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) are getting along if the sneak peek of the fourth episode of "Supergirl" Season 2 is anything to go by. In the clip, which can be viewed below, Supergirl Kara catches up with her adoptive sister and the detective, who are already at the scene where a body of an alien has been discovered in the trunk of a car.

Kara gets into a minor argument with Maggie after the latter claims that the alien may have gotten into a fight. The real surprise for the mighty heroine, however, comes after Alex and Maggie begin to exchange theories regarding the alien's cause of death. Both manage to finish each other's sentences with ease, much to Kara's bewilderment.

According to TVLine, numerous viewers last week took notice the strong chemistry between the two characters, although it remains to be seen whether or not the relationship between them will eventually lead to something romantic. It should be noted, however, that one character from either "Supergirl," "The Flash," "Arrow," or "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" will be coming out as gay in the upcoming season. This was confirmed by executive producer Andrew Kreisberg at the Television Critics Association's press tour back in August.

Kreisberg said that this character will be "exploring their sexuality and coming out," and that they are "very excited" about it. Greg Berlanti, who is also an executive producer, refused to divulge any clues that would give a hint as to who the character might be, but noted that this person is a "significant character."

"The only reason we wouldn't [say] is we really want the audience to enjoy the character developments and not necessarily be ahead of the storyline," Berlanti said, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The latest episode of "Supergirl" entitled "Survivors" will air on Monday, Oct. 31, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
