Samsung To Release Their Latest Unit 'Galaxy S8': Will The New S8 Be Their Redemption?

The explosive surprises of Samsung's "Galaxy Note 7" has shaken the tech giant to the core. Like the unit's spontaneous bursting into flames, Samsung made the unprecedented decision to recall every single one of the "Galaxy Note 7" smartphones sold, that's about 50% of the 2.5 million Note 7 produced. Since the recall was first announced, the number of explosive Note 7s has nearly quadrupled.

At the ashes of Note 7, Samsung has been openly pinning its hopes on the "Galaxy S8." But mobile phone fanatics all over the world agree that the correct and only measure of Samsung's return to the limelight is hanging on the success of the rumored "Galaxy Note 8."

There has been no official announcement from the distressed company but talks are widespread that the Note series will continue. In fact, rumors have prophesized that Samsung's new flagship, the phablet, will be introduced in 2017. The initial belief was that the tech giant was set out to abandon the Note series at the ashes of the latest exploding installment. But the new rumors ultimately suggest that the line will be revived and will be headed on the comeback trail with Note 8 according to Yibada.

One bit of news from Tech Crunch that has seemed to kindle Samsung's glow is the tech giant's new offer to former Note 7 users. Prior owners of the "Galaxy Note 7" who have already swapped their units with an S7 or S7 Edge may still get the new S8 or Note 8 upon their rumored release next year. And those with plans that have been upgraded need to pay for one-half of the S7's price before it can be exchanged for a Galaxy S8 or Note 8. The fact that the note 8 is mentioned has proven that speculations can be true.

Samsung's Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong admitted that it will be a while before they can fire-out the flames of Note 7 and regain Samsung's edge in the industry. Will the new "Galaxy S8" be Samsung's answer? The world is watching.
