Kristin Cavallari on Breastfeeding, 'It's hard'

Kristin Cavallari does not want to breast-feed her infant son Camden anymore. Not because he has grown up, but because she is unable to manage the difficulties involved with the whole process.

The 25-year-old actress and fiancée, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, welcomed their son Camden Jack Cutler Aug. 8. During a chat with The Hollywood Life, the actress expressed her breastfeeding experiences.

"It's hard," Us Weekly quoted the new mom telling Hollywood Life, recently. "It was the hardest part of the whole thing and no one tells you that. I was a slave to pumping."

The young mom has already found a solution for this problem - a goat milk mixture.

However, earlier, shortly after giving birth, the actress had appreciated the huge role played by breastfeeding in helping her to regain her pre-pregnancy figure.

"I started working out when he was 4 weeks old," she told Us Weekly in August 2012. "Breastfeeding honestly burns 500 calories a day, so that's been very helpful. And I'm a healthy eater in general, so I've just maintained a healthy lifestyle."

Though Camden is only 6 months old, the proud mother has her own future plans for him. During a chat with ESPN Chicago earlier, she expressed her unwillingness to let him play football like his father.

"I will try to steer Cam in a different direction, maybe a sport that isn't so aggressive," she told DNAinfo.com, according to Us Weekly. "Maybe baseball -- something where he doesn't have to get hit."

Cavallari dated her "Laguna Beach" co-star Stephen Colletti and "The Hills" co-stars Brody Jenner and Justin Brescia before starting her relationship with Cutler in 2010. The couple got engaged in 2011. Though they had a short break-up, they reunited and announced the pregnancy in January.
