The National Basketball Association Detroit Pistons head coach Stanley Alan Van Gundy gave all his praises and credits to his former Detroit point guard Brandon Byron Jennings for leading the Detroit Pistons in the last three seasons. Recently, Brandon Jennings was traded to the New York Knicks.

The Oakland Press reported that Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy gave his thankful speech on Tuesday night before Brandon Jennings returned to the locker room with the New York Knicks.

Coach Stan Van Gundy said that Brandon Jennings saved Detroit Pistons season's game two years ago. During that season, the Detroit Pistons was in its worst history record with 5 wins and 23 losses. Things were going very bad and the Detroit Pistons had a couple of their roster players moved. But Brandon Jennings took over and led the team from its nightmare.

Brandon Jennings played the best stretch of basketball over 12 games in that year. Coach Gundy even admitted that he has never seen anybody play like Brandon Jennings. The Detroit Pistons ended their season that year with a record of 32 wins and 50 losses.

According to Detroit News, Coach Stanley Alan Van Gundy also sent a thankful text to Brandon Jennings personally. He said in the interview that Brandon Jennings just turned everything around to where it used to be, and he will forever be grateful for what Jennings has done that year.

On February 2016, Brandon Jennings was traded to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Tobias Harris. On the following day, he made his debut with the Orlando Magic with a score of 110-104 over the Dallas Mavericks. Brandon Jennings recorded 18 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists in just only 25 minutes.

Brandon Jennings signed with the New York Knicks on July 8, 2016. Jennings made his first debut for the Knicks in the team's season opener on October 25 against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He recorded 7 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists in a 117-88 loss with only 21 minutes play time.
