Taylor Swift News: 'Bad Blood' Singer Pens Little Big Town’s New Single 'Better Man'

Little Big Town just released yesterday, November 1, the music video for their new single "Better Man" and the band surprised their fans with the reveal of its songwriter. The band who previously stated that "Better Man" was from "a young girl in Nashville" revealed that this "young girl" is none other than Shake If Off singer Taylor Swift.

"Better Man", which was released on October 20, is the lead single in the Little Big Town's upcoming studio album "The Breaker". The song, just like many of Taylor Swift's composition, is an anthem for breakups. Now, with the reveal of her writing "Better Man", everyone is out speculating who is the song about.

Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild shared that Taylor Swift sent them the song and said that it was a "very special" song to her. Fairchild stated that when they heard "Better Man" they knew they were going to record it. However, they decided to not share Taylor Swift's involvement immediately to let the song stand on its own merit, according to Rolling Stone.

Taylor Swift also seems very happy with the reveal. She shared her support to the band later in the afternoon with an Instagram post saying she is thrilled to have the Little Big Town, a band which she is a fan of, record "Better Man.

The singer-songwriter is famous for making pop hits out of her personal life and so fans are intrigued to know the ex-lover behind Taylor Swift writing of "Better Man". Rumor has it that the song could be about either Calvin Harris or Tom Hiddleston. But E! News shared that the song was penned by Taylor Swift years ago according to their source so the song couldn't be about either of them.

Little Big Town's "Better Man" is the second song the Grammy winner has acknowledged to writing after it has been released. Taylor Swift confirmed in July that she is the lyricist behind her ex-boyfriend Harris and Rihanna's hit tune "This Is What You Came For", according to Entertainment Tonight.
