Shakira Unveils Son's First Photo

Shakira has finally introduced her newborn son to the world. 

The Colombian singer, who welcomed her son Milan on Jan. 22, shared an intimate photo of the little one with his dad Gerard Pique on Twitter.

"Meet our baby boy Milan," the proud mom wrote, after posting the photo.

The singing sensation, who held a virtual baby shower with UNICEF to help poor children across the world, originally posted the photo on their UNICEF website.

"We hope that, in his name, other less privileged children in the world can have their basic needs covered through gifts and donations," People magazine quoted the new parents as writing. "Thank you for sharing this unforgettable moment with us."

Little Milan "does not cry a lot," Shakira's mom Nidia Ripoll told the reporters after the singer gave birth, Latin American Herald Tribune reported.

Shakira's relationship with Pique started during the shooting of her famous song "Waka Waka". It was only after splitting with her longtime boyfriend Antonio de la Rua, oldest son of former Argentinean President Fernando de la Rua in January 2011, the singer confirmed her relationship with Pique.

Though speculation about the pregnancy had been circulating for a long time, the singer confirmed the news only last September. In October, the singer confirmed the gender of her unborn baby.
