Uber News & Update: The American Worldwide Online Transportation Network Overhauled Smartphone App For Faster Pick Up! [MORE INFORMATION HERE]

Uber is widely used worldwide making it as one of the most downloadable apps. As it is used by millions of people worldwide, Uber upgraded its software to enable faster passenger pick up.

According to Tech Crunch, Uber is little by little rolling out an update benefiting the passengers to take them to destinations faster and more efficient.

Uber aims to have a more organized app to help the rider book a ride quicker. Uber added a ride selection with major redesign back in 2012. Recently, it has now been Uber X and Uber XL. After several updates, Uber has more ride types available, the ability to select pick up location, schedule rides and many more.

More recently, Uber also introduced transparent pricing last summer. The latest rollout of Uber builds on it by offering an accurate time of arrival.

Uber has been testing a similar feature called "Arrive by" in certain cities. This enables the passenger to compare the arrival time by choosing UberX against UberPOOL. From a recent test on this Uber update, a passenger found out that taking the UberPOOL will take at least 55 minutes from downtown Los Angeles to West Hollywood.

The new Uber rollout includes a feature found at the bottom of the app called "shortcuts." It is a predictor of where the passenger could be headed. The new update of Uber is based on either past behavior or pulling up a scheduled meeting in the calendar and adding the address.

As added by Channel News Asia, the Uber update is available for smartphones powered by Apple or Android software. The new Uber update will be available globally in the next couple of weeks hopefully before the end of the year.

Uber Product Manager, Yuki Yamashita said Uber has rebuilt a faster, smarter rider app completely from the ground up. Uber will soon be introducing a new feature called "people to new places" which enables passengers to set destination instead of a place.
