'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: Jon Snow Is Back? Kit Harington Spotted In Belfast Set

Is Jon Snow alive?

It's the question many of the fans of "Game of Thrones" are eager to find out after the end of last season, where Jon Snow was repeatedly stabbed by people he thought were family. Now that the cast members are back to work to film the show's sixth season offering, rumors are swirling that Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, is also back on the set.

According to Watchers On The Wall (WotW), Kit was spotted on the same flight as Tom Wlaschiha, who plays the assassin Jaqen H'ghar on the show. Their destination? Belfast, North Ireland, where the series mainly films the majority of its scenes.

A reader of the WotW was on the same flight as the actors and even submitted a photo as proof. The photo was taken from the airport.

However, some fans are speculating that the actor could only be back on the set to film Jon Snow's funeral, according to MTV. "Game of Thrones" did the same thing for Charles Dance in season 5, when his character, Tywin Lannister, was already killed off in season 4.

Further evidence that Jon Snow is not yet dead or may be resurrected points to Kit's hair. The actor is still sporting long curly locks, which is said to be part of his contract for "Game of Thrones." He's also signed with HBO until season 7, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

But Kit has always professed that he is done with the show after last season's harrowing end. "I'm dead. I'm not coming back next season. So that's all I can tell you, really," he told CNN.

"It should be pretty clear what happens in by the time you're done seeing that scene. It's not an 'Oh, what just happened?' scene," said one of the showrunners, Dan Weiss, in the same report in reference to Jon Snow's final moments.

Jon Snow is a central figure in the "Game of Thrones" series, which is based on the book written by George R.R. Martin. The television version has veered off from the stories in the book in a lot of ways, but the TV character has met the same fate as the book characters, according to Forbes.

As season 6 begins filming, Martin is yet to finish writing the latest "Game of Thrones" book installment. However, fans are hoping that Jon Snow's resurrection is in the storyline, both in the book and on the show.

"Game of Thrones" season 6 returns in the spring of 2016 on HBO.
