British smartphone manufacturer, Wileyfox enters the market with a budget phone with good features to boot. The Wileyfox Swift 2 should be a good option for customers who are into a good quality smartphone but comes with a lower price tag.

According to Techradar, British smartphone manufacturer Wileyfox has announced its low-cost and budget-friendly smartphones the Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus. Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus is solid in terms of features but comes less expensive than other counterparts.

The Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus have a fingerprint scanner mounted on the back of the device. Both the Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus also have NFC which the original Swift series did not have. This enables the user to make use of Android Pay.

The Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus have Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, Quick Charge 3.0 technology. This allows the user of Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus to regain battery life in 30 minutes. Both the Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus also have USB-C ports on the base of the handsets.

The difference between Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus is the storage. The Wileyfox Swift 2 comes with 16GB internal storage, 2GB or RAM and a 13MP camera. The Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus is more advanced with 32GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM and 16MP rear facing camera.

As added by Android Authority, both Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus have Cyanogen 3.1 out of the box. It is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Wileyfox offers regular software update to both Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus including Android 7.0 Nougat.

Both Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus have Midnight, Gold and Rose colors. Its predessor, the Wileyfox Swift has been introduced in the US which retailed $203 US. The availability of Wileyfox Swift 2 and Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus in the US will have to be officially announced.
