'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Gets $1M Contract, Others Demand Pay Hike?

After learning that her sister-in-law got a higher pay check, Melissa Gorga and other members of the cast of the reality TV show, Real Housewives of New Jersey now ask for higher pay as much as Teresa Giudice's $1 million-dollar contract, Radar reports.

Although Giudice was known to badly need the paycheck after facing a $214,588.90 restitution payments for bankruptcy and fraud, it has been reported that the cast of the said TV show were disgusted with the fact of Giudice receiving a million dollars. "It sends a very bad message to their fans that crime does indeed pay," an insider told Radar. Teresa is still behind bars because of the said cases. Giudice will be released in February after serving in a 15-month prison sentence.

Bustle reports that over a month ago, the said reality TV star sold her car to pay off some of her court fees. It was written that Teresa might be known as the most successful Real Housewife of all time. Bustle also writes that Teresa has debts summing to $13.4 million.

Back then, Teresa has shares with Macy's and is married to Joe Gorga, a construction company owner, while their financial status boomed from working class to upper middle class, Teresa had been able to quadruple their family's money when accepted in the reality show. Aside from luxurious cars and furnishings, Teresa also owned a 10,000 square foot home in Towaco rumored to cost $3.99 million.

But this time, she faces the grudge of her costars desiring to acquire as much pay as she got.

"Teresa's sister-in-law, Melissa is demanding a significant raise, and wants to be paid $1 million too. Dina Manzo is also seeking a bump in pay. Jacqueline wanted to be paid as much as Teresa too," sources told Radar.

Meanwhile, while Teresa is behind bars, the show still goes on with Melissa known to get $750,000 for the next season of RHONJ! "Melissa has been given a raise in her new contract," a source told Radar, adding that Melissa's salary is now almost equal with that of Teresa.

Yet, Melissa is still lost with Nene Leakes's income of $1 million every season.

RHONJ is an American TV series premiered last 2009 and is still rolling on its sixth season to show how housewives live, work and earn in New Jersey. Teresa Giudice was part of the original cast of the said series.
