‘The Big Bang Theory’ Upcoming Season 11 News & Updates: Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, and Mayim Bialik Requesting for Pay Increase?

Contract renewals of some cast members in "The Big Bang Theory" are approaching and rumors say Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), Kaley Cuoco (Penny Hofstadter), and Mayim Bialik (Amy Fowler) are requesting for an increase in salary.

According to the New York Daily News, Kunal Nayyar (Raj Koothrappali) responded to the allegations and said all three stars are still ecstatic to renew their contracts to "The Big Bang Theory" Season 11 even minus the pay raise. Kunal explained, "As an artist that is a difficult thing to do as obviously you want to keep things fresh and you want to have the ability to explore other characters. But as a human being, being on the show is the happiest place in the world so if this were the rest of my life, and if I could make a living as an actor being surrounded by such talented and wonderful people and co-workers who are more than but are family, then absolutely yes."

In addition, Mayim (Amy) has previously mentioned that despite not earning as much, she does not mind the amount of salary she receives. Therefore, it may be a hint that she won't be requesting for a raise anytime soon. During the 33rd Annual PlayFest in Los Angeles, she stated, "I am grateful to be employed. I don't think pay has anything to do with the quality of the show."

Moreover, Kaley Cuoco (Penny) assured that "The Big Bang Theory" will be renewed for another season. She has told TV Line that she wishes to be part of the show for as long as possible.

CBS President Glenn Geller announced last September that the sitcom's 10th will not be its last. He said, "We are very confident that everyone involved wants more 'Big Bang' past year 10. I know Warner Brothers will make those deals. We'll put it on for as long as everyone wants 'Big Bang' on the air. I hope it lasts forever."

Thus, Geller's statement slams rumors head on, confirming that the entire troupe is dedicated in returning for another season of "The Big Bang Theory." Keep up-to-date on CBS and watch "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 which airs every Thursday at 8 p.m.
