NBA Point Guard Jeremy Lin’s Absence Made Brooklyn Nets Game Tougher, Lost to Hornets 99-95 at Home

Since the point guard Jeremy Lin felt some tweak in his left hamstring on Wednesday, he knew he was hurt and got angrier as he made the walk back to his locker. This led to persecution all night for the Brooklyn Nets in a 99-95 loss to the Hornets.

According to The New York Post, Brooklyn Nets coach Kenny Atkinson said, in an interview, that the Hornets defense was truly excellent. This is probably the reason why the Hornets is the top defensive team in the NBA league. They took away most of the staff from the Nets and made them go down to the line with fewer options. They harshly knocked down the Nets playing pace and rhythm.

Brooklyn Nets coach Kenny Atkinson admitted some of the blames for not offering Brook Lopez enough options for his aggressive offense.

The Charlotte Hornets probably knew that they can't let Brook Lopez have too many touches on the ball and shots in the post. The Hornets started by fronting him in the post, harassing, and putting a double team on him all the time.

Fan Sided reported that on Wednesday night, Jeremy Lin was wearing pink low-top sneakers that were picked out for him by a young cancer patient suffering from leukemia, Ava Lee. Point Guard Jeremy Lin said that just the thought of this young girl helped him get past his anger.

Point Guard Jeremy Lin said that he was pretty upset when he went back to his locker, but when he wore the shoes that day for Ava, he immediately thought about the girl Ava. And this was how Jeremy Lin ended his pity party. He further said that it could be a lot worse for him but still he felt blessed that he can go back to the court.

The 28-year-old point guard came to the Nets on a three-year contract with $36 million deal this off-season. It was his first return to New York since his days as a Knicks.

The first game that point guard Jeremy Lin missed as a result of being sidelined was one against his former team, the Hornets. Brooklyn Nets lost a hard battle against the Hornets with 99-95 at home.
