‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Casting News, Update: New Stars Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Linnea Berthelsen To Reveal Secrets Of The Upside Down?

"Stranger Things" Season 2 casting has been confirmed to expand once again. The latest news revealed that actors Sean Astin and Paul Reiser will be joining the "Stranger Things" casts along with Danish actress Linnea Berthelsen. Here are the roles that the new stars are set to portray on the second season of "Stranger Things."

"Stranger Things" Season 2 is set to introduce a new character named Dr. Owens who will be portrayed by actor Reiser. It is unclear whether Dr. Owens is a villain or not as he works with the people who have experimented on Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). Dr. Owens is apparently on a clean up assignment which could mean falsifying and changing information about the events in the first season.

"Stranger Things" Season 2 will also introduce actor Astin as Bob Newby. He manages the Hawkins Radioshack and is suggested to be a kind man. He is familiar to Joyce Myers (Winona Ryder) and Chief Hopper (David Harbour) as the three of them went to the same high school in the past.

Actress Berthelsen, on the other hand, will appear as Roman on "Stranger Things" Season 2. She is suggested to know the existence of the Upside Down though she is not currently situated in Hawkins. Roman seems to be a mysterious woman who suffered from losing a loved one when she was a child, The Hollywood Reporter reported.

Could it be possible that Roman had lost someone because of the Demogorgon? Is she the key to the mystery of the Upside down? That is what fans need to find out as "Stranger Things" Season 2 returns in 2017.

"Stranger Things" Season 2 is expected to explain some loose ends from the previous season, Parent Herald reported. However, the Duffer Brothers remain tight-lipped on the plot and the official release date of the highly anticipated show.
