T.I. Tells Lil Wayne That His Black Lives Matter Movement Comment Are Unacceptable

Black Lives Matter Movement advocates have gone online over the past week to criticize Lil Wayne after his comments on the issue at ABC's "Nightline" on November 1. Now, "Live Your Life" rapper T.I. goes to Instagram on Saturday, November 5 and shared his frustration to Lil Wayne over his statement.

While being interviewed on the television news program Lil Wayne commented that he doesn't feel connected to the issue of the Black Lives Matter Movement. He shared that his lack of connection to the issue is because it has nothing to do with him. Lil Wayne further shared that the issue, which was prompted by the death of Trayvon Martin back in 2012, is just about a person shot by a police officer because of some terrible reason, according to CNN.

His comments then prompted the Black Lives Matter supporters to go on social media and criticize the rapper's lack of concern and understanding of the issue. Lil Wayne's comments also prompted his friend and co-artist T.I. to post a lengthy message to him on Instagram.

T.I. or TIP shared on the mobile social-networking application that Lil Wayne's comments were "unacceptable" and that he was dishonoring himself, his family and his legacy with what he has said. He asked Lil Wayne to get out of the bubble that he has been living in and even offers to help him understand the issue. T.I. said further that he has been proud to identify himself as a fan and a friend of Lil Wayne but he is willing to put an end to it in order to defend those who cannot do it themselves, according to Huffington Post.

Lil Wayne has not shared his reaction on T.I.'s message to him. But since the flood of criticisms on Lil Wayne's comments, the rapper has shared his apology to TMZ. He reasoned that he felt "agitated" after the "Nightline" correspondent mentioned his daughter being labeled with offensive names and that he is sorry to anyone he has offended.
