"Ghost In The Shell" live-action movie adaptation has been a long time coming. Now, the latest teaser trailer of "Ghost In The Shell" shows Scarlett Johansson wearing the iconic thermoptic suit.

The live-action movie adaptation of "Ghost In The Shell" has been rumored on-and-off for the past ten years. Now, Hollywood is finally pushing through with the project. However, with the excitement that finally "Ghost In The Shell" would have a live-action movie adaptation, news of the casting of Scarlett Johansson as the main character was met with controversy.

Most of the fans of the legendary "Ghost In The Shell" manga and anime called out Hollywood for white-washing the intended live-action movie adaptation. Many were questioning why a white woman was playing the role of the Asian character. Regardless of this, the movie continued production but the expectation of the fans has added an extra pressure to the final outcome of the film.

"Ghost In The Shell" is about the special-ops human-cyborg hybrid named The Major. The Major leads a special team tasked to stop dangerous criminals and extremists from wiping out cybernetic advances in technology.

In the latest teaser trailer for "Ghost In The Shell", Scarlett Johansson, who plays The Major, is seen wearing the iconic thermoptic suit. A thermoptic suit is not a nude suit. It is a kind of suit that camouflages the wearer by adapting to its surrounding making the wearer near invisible to the naked eye.

Before "Ghost In The Shell" gained popularity, the idea of a thermoptic suit didn't come to fruition. But with the success and influence of "Ghost In The Shell", researchers studying and developing a real kind of thermoptic suit.

Scarlett Johansson is joined by Michael Pitt, Juliette Binoche, Pilou Asbak, Kaori Momoi, Chin Han, Rila Fukushima, Danusia Samal, Lasarus Ratuere, Tuwanda Manyimo, and Yutaka Izumihara for the live-action movie adaptation of "Ghost In The Shell".

"Ghost In The Shell" is directed by Rupert Sanders ("Snow White And The Huntsman"). The movie will be in theaters March 31, 2017.
