‘Rogue One’ News, Cast, Trailers & Updates: Is The “Star Wars” Installment Feminist?

Felicity Jones, "Rogue One" lead actress spoils some details on the highly anticipated installment of the "Star Wars" movie series. Jones playing the role of Jyn in "Rogue One" teases that her character might just br the toughest chick in the movie history.

Feminism is becoming a trend among recent Hollywood films says Stopru. In fact, the latest movie releases have female lead roles. To name a few, the all-girl Ghostbusters, Womer Woman and of coursr, Felicty Jone's "Rogue One".

"Rogue One" writer Micheal Giacchino is confiedent that "Rogue One" is unique from the previous "Star War" installments. Snapshots of the movie scenes reveal that Jyn is alive and safe. She is now strong enough to lead the rebellion in the vast universe of "Star Wars".

Digital Spy recalls Jone's statement in one of her interviews saying that she is very much optimistic that the audience will love the movie. The star made special mention to her fellow ladies. Jone's hope that the movie, with her as lead, can empower the female population and elicit support from men. Jone's is not on her own on the belief. It can be recalled that actress Daisy Ridley took the same path when she played the role of Rey in "Star Wars 7".

Fans anticipating the movie release could not stop speculating about "Rogue One" and its connection to "The Force Awakens", another movie installment of "Star Wars". In the trailers, fans have hinted that the movie will revolve around Jyn and her relationship with her fellow rebels. Rumors say the ties will be tested and repetitively challenged, others claim it might even be severed.

But the favorite spoiler is that of Darth Vader's rumored appearance in the movie which seems very likely. "Rogue One" is set during Vader's reign as emperor.
