'World of Warcraft' News: Blizzard Entertainment To Release New 'Argus' Expansion Pack? New Patch To Be Released In 2017?

"World of Warcraft" players can expect two new patches for the WoW game! During the BlizzCon, Blizzard Entertainment revealed Patch 7.1.5 and Patch 7.2 in detail. The "World of Warcraft" developers also teased about a new planet where players can journey on - Argus!

Speculations about Argus becoming a standalone expansion patch got easily widespread. The "World of Warcraft" game director Ion Hazzikostas told Polygon in an interview that Argus will indeed come soon but it will only be a part of patch 7.3.

For the information of everybody, Argus is a planet in the vast "World of Warcraft" universe. Argus is the planet that operates one of the major seats of power for the Burning Legion. Argus became a home to the Draenei race which fled the planet as the demon army invaded their domicile.

"World of Warcraft" game director expressed his doubts about Argus becoming a standalone expansion. In his interview, he shared how they could come up and make lots of ecologies and things for WoW Argus but he fears that after everything it would come out as a one-note alien expansion pack.

The WoW game director described how the "World of Warcraft" developers will make Argus as the climax to the upcoming patch. Hazzikostas compared Argus to one of his favorite games, Mass Effect 2. In the supposed new "World of Warcraft" expansion, players can head to the demon world and defeat them once for all.

Clearly, the "World of Warcraft" game director is oh-so-excited about this new expansion that he wasn't able to give further details on when the public will see it. The World of Warcraft Patch 7.1.5 is going live after its public test next week which will be followed by a full release.

On the other hand, The World of Warcraft Patch 7.2's release date still has to be announced but it is likely to be released early next year. Stay tuned for updates!
