Raven Symone broke the news about the "That's So Raven" spinoff on "The View" after she announced that she will no longer be a panel for the morning show. She will be leaving "The View" before the year is up and it is due to the fact that she is working on the "That's So Raven" spinoff series.

E! News reported that casting for the "That's So Raven" spinoff is underway and the new characters that the fans of the show will meet have been revealed. "That's So Raven" spinoff series will be out on Disney sometime in 2017.

"That's So Raven" spinoff, which does not have an official title yet, will follow the life of Raven, who is now a single mother and is divorced. She had her kids when she was still a teenager. Raven Symone also played the role of Raven Baxter on the original TV show. In the original "That's So Raven," Raven Baxter has this psychic powers and one of her children will reportedly have the ability to see glimpses of the future.

The children of Raven in the "That's So Raven" spinoff series are Nia and Booker. Nia is said to be the bold and confident daughter who does not give up when she sets her mind to something. She just started middle school and is great at science. However, her life will be more complicated in the "That's So Raven" spinoff series after she starts to see visions of the future.

As for Booker, he is said to be the sweet and naive young son of Raven Baxter. He is a mama's boy but will also stand up for himself, Teen Vogue reported. It remains unclear if any of the other characters in the original series of "That's So Raven" will be seen on the spinoff series.

The "That's So Raven" spinoff series is expected to go into production by early 2017.
