Jamie Dornan Out, Ian Somerhalder In: ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Actor Replacing Dakota Johnson’s Leading Man in 'Fifty Shades Freed'

Rumors abound that Jamie Dornan is out of the "Fifty Shades Freed" movie and being replaced by another actor. Apparently, Ian Somerhalder is in and will now be replacing Jamie Dornan to play the role of Christian Grey in the sequel to "Fifty Shades Darker".

The apparent reason for this sudden exit of Jamie Dornan in the movie is his Amelia Warner. According to Aussie Network News, Amelia is not happy with the rumors of Jamie Dornan and co-star Dakota Johnson hooking up.

There is no doubt that Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson shared amazing chemistry on their movie "Fifty Shades of Grey." Fans have seen this and speculated that the chemistry might have translated to a real-life romance between Jamie and Dakota.

But because of Amelia's wariness of the situation, she apparently demanded that her husband Jamie Dornan leave the project altogether in order to save their marriage. Hence the entry of "The Vampire Diaries" actor Ian Somerhalder in "Fifty Shades Freed."

Ian Somerhalder, who plays bad boy vampire Damon in the TV series, is rumored to replace Jamie Dornan in "Fifty Shades Freed," and fans are having a mixed reaction to the news. Some are alright with the change, simply because Ian Somerhalder is gorgeous and a good actor, and he will more than likely give justice to Christian Grey's character in "Fifty Shades Freed".

But are others are dismayed by the news that Jamie Dornan will be replaced in "Fifty Shades Freed". That is understandable, as Jamie Dornan will be playing the role of Christian Grey in the first two movies in the series, it would be awkward to have another actor play the titular role for "Fifty Shades Freed".

Cosmopolitan reports how show host Jimmy Kimmel actually interviewed Jamie Dornan and asked the actor about the rumors saying Ian Somerhalder will be replacing him in "Fifty Shades Freed." Jamie Dornan replied that he doesn't know, but he was also quick to say that they have actually wrapped up filming "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed." Jamie says that to do shoot another movie, this time with Ian Somerhalder would be really expensive.
