Donald Trump: Can America Survive Its Next President?

It did not look like a campaign. It definitely looked like a tantrum that is being thrown by Donald Trump. At the end of it, the United States of America surprised us all. It decided to get its reins to an impulsive man and made him the President of the U.S. Is this a display of anger by the people? 

Let's call it an experiment. However, it is an expensive one as it is going to last for five, long years. Doubts arise whether America will survive Donald Trump's reign.

When the country was formed, the visionaries were very wary of demagogues. A system was created in which the political powerhouse is not considered a joke. There were a system of checks and balances which were meant to filter and bring out only the best. This system definitely stood the test of time. But now, what happened? Why is Donald Trump at the spearhead?

After years of standing strong against domestic and foreign disturbances and the occasional election mishaps, it seems that America's desire to make a person the commander in chief for his/her virtue and ability seems to have vanished. Major political drama has unfolded in front of us. It was presented by Donald Trump. America and the rest of the world might sadly, bear the brunt of this rather illogical and irrational voting. Voters were driven by impulse and not logic, reported Chicago Tribune.

To make a man the spearhead of the institution for which he has no respect for, is preposterous. Donald Trump does not understand the way in which domestic and foreign policies are interwoven and how they co-exist. America sans the rest of the world might not even exist. Does he have the temperament that a high-level decision maker should have? Is he capable of guiding the most powerful nation at a time when existence has come into question?

Nationalism, racism and downright disrespect to humanity are what Donald Trump and his fans stand for. What we see today is that it seems there are a lot of them! He managed to get the majority with false and contradictory promises, reported NYTimes.

The campaign was without manners and Donald Trump's personality was repulsive. His own party members did not vouch for him. They tried to stay away from the drama. He was denied access to his own Twitter account as his statements were too brazen. Sadly, he now has nuclear launch codes.
