‘The Defenders’ News, Updates, Cast & Trailer: Elektra Is Confirmed Back! Spoilers & Plot Details Revealed

 Marvel and Netflix once again prove that death is meaningless to superheroes as they collaborate for the upcoming release of "The Defenders", a series that unites heroes in a desperate battle against the Hand, a villainous ninja cult.

"The Defenders" is already set to be heroic as hell. Fuse says the movie will reunite Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist for their own smallish-screen-sized Avengers-y situation. But wait, there's more. "Marvel's" biggest superhero mashup has recently confirmed the addition of the fan favorite character, Elektra.

Netflix announced the French actress' return on Twitter, swaggering that "the strong survive" and quoting that those who setting us will define us (except when you're on the subway at rush hour, hopefully). As we remember in the "Daredevil" Season 2, Elodie Yung's Elektra ended with her death. But, that's not a problem for he might be back to life by the Hand.

Elektra will be back fighting in the same battles as Murdock, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist with the exception, because this time she won't be fighting with them but against them on the side of The Hand. That will make her a devastating enemy for poor Matt Murdock who is her love interest in the daredevil. So in the defenders we will expect a love to hate drama for Elektra and Matt Murdock.

The Hand is reported as the first season enemy for "The Defenders" says Uproxx, and was also the enigmatic clique that viewers saw taking Elektra's cadaver during Daredevil's last season. Elektra was trying to move away from the control of the Hand just to be with Matt but now she is back under their skim as is "Black Sky," which made her the intense killing machine she was.

How much more grim will it be for Matt and the rest of "The Defenders" to overcome The Hand's power now that it its dyed-in-the-wool they will have Elektra's supremacies under their control?
