‘Red Dead Redemption’ Remastered For PS4, Xbox One And PC In The Works?

A rumor circulating the web this week involves one of the greatest games of the previous generation of consoles, "Red Dead Redemption." This masterpiece from Rockstar Games creator of the GTA series is said to hit the stores next year.

According to an article in GamingBolt, "Xbox one owners can play 'Red Dead Redemption' via backward compatibility feature, but I don't think they'd say no for a remaster either." If the rumors are true, this is going to be the first time that PC gamers can actually experience and appreciate "Red Dead Redemption's" amazing gameplay and storyline.

For those who didn't know, "Red Dead Redemption" is already the second installment by Rockstar Games in the Red Dead series. "Red Dead Revolver," which was a game purchased by Rockstar Games from Capcom was released in 2004 for the PS2, is the very first in the series. PS4 relaunched the game on Oct. 11, so PS4 owners can experience the very first "Spaghetti Western" produced by Rockstar.

"Red Dead Redemption" released in 2010, for the Xbox 360 and PS3 is a story about the escapades of John Marston who used to be an outlaw. The setting is in 1911, John Marston is escorted by two agents from the Bureau of Investigation to get his ex-partner, Bill Williamson. Outnumbered and left for dead, John Marston was rescued by a rancher Bonnie Mcfarlane and the story goes on from there.

"Red Dead Redemption" received the lowest rating of 9.5/10 and the highest of 10/10 from the industry's well-known critics. The main protagonist John Marston was awarded the year's best character by Gamespot and IGN in 2010. GamesRadar ranked John Marston number 14 among the "100 best heroes in video games" and number 4 among the "Most Bad-ass Game Characters of the Generation." The main game received the prestigious "Game of the Year" awards from GameSpy, Good Game, CNET and "Platinum Chalice Award" for 2010 from GamesRadar.

If a remastered version is currently in development, then it's going to be another hit for the title and an awesome past time while waiting for "Red Dead Redemption 2." What do you think?
