‘Outlander’ Season 3 Updates: Scoop on Season 3 Premiere, Hannah James & Tanya Reynolds Joins The Series, What Roles Will They Play?

Followers of the historical fiction, "Outlander" which is based on a novel series of the same title by Diana Gabaldon are highly anticipating the return of the show for its Season 3. The most recent update to the series that features the adventures of a time-travelling nurse Claire Randall (played by Caitriona Balfe) involves the likely premiere date plus the introduction of new cast members, Tanya Reynolds and Hannah James.

As published in Access Hollywood, viewers will get to know two new characters in "Outlander" Season 3. The first character is Geneva Dunsany to be portrayed by British actress, Hannah James who also starred in "Mercy Street." Meanwhile, actress Tanya Reynolds who is part of the upcoming movie,"Fanny Lye Deliver'd" will take on the role of Isobel Dunsany.


In "Outlander" Season 3, sisters Geneva and Isobel will be shown having contrasting characteristics. The older Geneva (Hannah James) is described as beautiful with a strong personality. She is spoiled and is used to having what she wants. Geneva grew up in a sheltered environment and beyond her demanding exterior exhibits naivety as well.

Meanwhile, Isobel (Tanya Reynolds) , though not as pretty as her sister is more appealing to others because of her warm and friendly nature. So when will "Outlander" Season 3" be back? Apparently, as reported in Den of Geek, the production for its third season has already started and the airing will likely premiere in 2017.

"Outlander" Season 3 will feature the "Voyager" story which is the third novel in the book by Diana Gabaldon. Other new cast members of Season 3 include Lauren Lyle, John Bell, and Wil Johnson.
