Nostradamus Predictions: Prophet Foretold Donald Trump's Victory Will Trigger World War III, Apocalypse?

Donald Trump winning the 2016 U.S. elections may have shocked Americans and the rest of the world, but did Nostradamus actually foresee the events centuries ago? The 16th-century oracle has prophesied that Trump's presidency will trigger World War III, and quite possibly, the apocalypse. Could he be right?

In his book "Les Propheties" published in the 1500s, Nostradamus laid out cryptic verses pertaining to future events which could now be relevant and timely. The Sun quoted the Oracle's theory, which states, "The great shameless, audacious bawler, he will be elected governor of the army; The boldness of his contention." This description directly points to Trump's outspoken, unapologetic style.

Another Nostradamus prophecy tells that the "false trumpet concealing madness" will make "Byzantium" reform its laws. The reference to the ancient Greek colony could pertain to today's refugees coming from Greece, which may be threatened by Trump's anti-immigration policies.

History Channel has a list of other chilling prophecies made by Nostradamus which can now be referred to what's happening in the U.S. today. Among these is a line that states, "The wretched, unfortunate republic will again be ruined by a new authority."

But perhaps the most chilling prophecy of all is a picture of World War III. Nostradamus wrote that "the Republic of the big city," by the order of the "trumpet," will engage in huge, costly wars. With today's nuclear warfare, could this mean the world's apocalypse too?

Meanwhile, in a freakishly comical way, the animated show "The Simpsons" has also predicted Trump's win 16 years ago. The bizarre premise was outlined in an episode entitled "Bart To The Future," which was broadcasted around the year 2000.

Trump is scheduled for his inauguration as the 45th president of the United States on Jan. 20, 2017. What do you think of Nostradamus' eery predictions? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
