Kardashian Family News & Updates: Why Did Kendall Jenner Leave Instagram?
Model and reality star Kendall Jenner "ghosted" her fans on Instagram today when she suddenly deleted her account. So far, the 21-year-old celebrity still has her Twitter and Snapchat accounts but has yet to offer any reason for leaving the photo-sharing app.
Jenner's sudden exit, despite courting no drama recently, has created rife speculation. Her last Instagram photos had been regular pictures of her model life, posting photos with her famous best friends such as Bella and Gigi Hadid. She even posted photos of Rob Kardashian and fiancé Blac Chyna's newborn baby Dream.
The Daily Mail speculates that Jenner may be quitting Instagram due to the backlash she received for a photoshoot with Vogue Espana magazine, where she posed as a ballerina. Dubbed as the "ballerina outrage," Jenner offended many professional ballerinas, thanks to her poor execution of ballerina dance moves. However, the incident might not be enough of a trigger to cause the Instagram flight as the Vogue shoot happened a month ago.
Jenner might possibly be following big sister Kim's lead in the social media exodus. After Kim's horrifying robbery ordeal in Paris, Kanye West's wife has been noticeably missing from Instagram and other social media platforms.
An exit from Instagram might also be a sign of more drama yet to come for the reality star and her famous clan. Jenner's brother, Rob, is no stranger in inviting drama by posting gossip-inducing photos and even deleting his own Instagram account multiple times. A look at his Instagram now, however, would show the proud first-time dad posting a photo of her new-born baby girl.
The Internet may be buzzing with possible reasons for Jenner's departure but it could simply be that she prefers to live in the moment sans social media. In a recent interview with the magazine Allure last September, Jenner expressed her disgust at some of her loved ones' inability to get off the phone.
"I find it offensive if you're with someone at a dinner and they're just sitting on their phone the whole time," the young model said.
