'Twilight' Sequel Latest News & Update: 'The Vampire Diaries' Stars Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder To Replace Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson?

"Twilight" stars, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, might be gracing the big screen together soon, if not for Kristen Stewart reportedly botching the role. Word is that St. Vincent's girlfriend allegedly does not want to be Bella Swan anymore, and with this, the pair will be replaced with "The Vampire Diaries" stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev.

Now that the "Twilight" stars are living away from each other peacefully after their infamous split years back, Kristen Stewart reportedly has no plans of looking back and disrupting her relationship with St. Vincent just for a film, as reported by Inquisitr. During an interview with Uproxx, Kristen Stewart said that she would, in fact, be happy to see other stars take in her role as Bella Swan.

"To be honest with you, I would be interested. I'd be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn't emotionally affect me one way or the other," the 26-year-old star said when she was asked if she cares if "Twilight" will get a reboot. However, Kristen Stewart added that even if she is interested does not necessarily mean she wants to keep doing her role in "Twilight."

The idea of a Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart comeback for "Twilight" is out of reach as for the moment, and who would ever reprise their roles better if not their co-vampire? Hence, rumor is that the "TVD" couple, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are filling in the spots together for the "Twilight" sequel movie.

It was said that Nina Dobrev's departure of "The Vampire Diaries" is mainly caused by her pursuit for bigger roles. Reportedly, the 27-year-old star is trying to seize a role for some Twilight-related movie. In fact, during an MTV interview, Nina Dobrev expressed her inclination towards "Twilight" story and even lauded Stephenie Meyer's work.

Lionsgate Motion Picture Group co-chairman Peter Wachsberg previously announced that if Stephenie Meyer comes up with another story for "Twilight," the studio will be happy to translate it into a film. But with all these news coming, maybe it's time that "Twilight" fans will see another set of stars for the well-loved vampire story.
