NBA Trade Rumors: Demarcus Cousins and Klay Thompson

A lot of talks are happening in NBA world right now and guess what; two of Bay Area basketball's biggest names are involved, the Sacramento Kings All-Star Demarcus Cousins and Golden State Warriors All-Star Klay Thompson. One of these great players could actually be traded. Cousins and Thompson got their names in the social media everywhere. One rumored team that Thompson could end up is the Boston Celtics, though it may not be really possible, the Boston Celtics could still be looking to a great talent on New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis.

Every year Cousins' name has been a favorite on the trade rumors and according to the Sporting News' Sean Deveney, this year could be the year it could really happen. Almost lot of front-office executives share the same sentiments on this; they feel that the return of Cousins will diminish the longer the Sacramento Kings wait till the February 23 deadline. This mean that the star could be gone before the end of the year if the team continues to flounder.

According to Forbes, Shaquille O'Neal, one of Sacramento's minority owners also brought up the idea of Cousins being traded; he said he heard some talks about it and if the Kings still not progressing maybe they should be looking on a different direction like trading Cousins.

The Sacramento Kings Kings right now are 13^th seed on the West with a record of 4-7 with the newly hired coach Dave Joerger that stats right this moment isn't looking good but the season is still starting but this should prompt the Sacramento Kings to offer their best player up for picks and prospects.

Also give with the tam-friendly contract of DeMarcus Cousins with a $17 million contract this year and a $ 18 million the next year. Many teams would love to grab this opportunity and given the talent of Demarcus Cousins surely it could make a team a playoff contender. Deveney haven't point out any top suitors for Cousins but the Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets are the perfect buyers given their cap space flexibility.
