Space Exploration Technologies Corporation a.k.a SpaceX has huge plans for the future. According to CEO Elon Musk, SpaceX is planning to colonize Mars. Read more to know the details.

For years, Mars is believed to be the next friendly planet for humans. Several studies suggest that life is possible on the Red Planet.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has a vision of colonizing Mars. In fact, per Top Secret Writer, Elon Musk presented the company's Mars colonization project last September.

According to Elon Musk, Mars has an atmosphere where plants could grow. In fact, the Red Plant has a close solar day to Earth. It has 24 hours, 39 minutes and 35 seconds solar day.

At the time, SpaceX's Mars colonization project has an Interplanetary Transport System that could carry 100 people. However, the number could be expanded to 200.

The ITS will launch into the parking orbit through a booster rocket that returns to the launch pad within 20 minutes for refueling and loading of supplies for the orbiting ship and crew.

According to SpaceX's CEO Elon Musk, it might take three to five trips for the booster to fill the orbiting ship with enough fuel to get to Mars. When the ship is fueled and stocked it will depart from the Earth for Mars with an interplanetary coast at 62,634 mph.

When the first batch of colonists arrive in the Red Planet, all the equipment and supplies needed to establish their first output will be there. Mars has a gravity of 37 percent so lifting heavy objects and equipment to build the outpost is possible, Elon Musk explained.

Elon Musk of SpaceX added that Mars colonization will go beyond outposts in the next 40 to 100 years. The Red Planet is expected to play a vital role in ensuring the human race's future with the Earth's slow degradation.
