"Sense8" Season 2 has been plagued by countless cancellation reports even though the second season of the Netflix sci-fi drama has not aired yet. The reason behind this is the behind-the-scenes drama during the production of the show. Are the Wachowskis planning to leave the show to film movies instead?

This article contains spoilers. Read on if you want to learn more about the details of this story.

"Sense8" Season 2 cancellation news reveals that there have been reports that the Netflix series will end after the second season. Part of the reason behind the cancellation rumors is because of the recent casting shake-ups and behind-the-scenes drama.

It can be recalled that in the midst of production for "Sense8" Season 2, Aml Ameen dropped out of the series as Capheus. The show then had to cast Toby Onwumere to take over the role and film the remaining scenes for the series.

As Jamie Clayton recently shared on Twitter, her character Nomi, and Capheus hope that fans will stay positive about "Sense8" Season 2. She also teased that the show will soon return to Netflix with new episodes.

"Sense8" Season 2 has also seen one of the Wachowskis leave in the middle of production. This spelled doom for several viewers of the show, as the series has always been spearheaded by both Lilly and Lana Wachowki and Michael Straczynski.

As Deadline states in an earlier report, the Wachowskis will continue to go back and forth between doing TV shows and movies. Several fans expressed concern that the Wachowski sisters may leave "Sense8" Season 2 for good and pursue filmmaking instead.

However, it can be recalled that Lilly Wachowski left "Sense8" Season 2 because she recently came out as transgender. According to reports, Lilly needed the time off to take some rest and discover herself.

"Sense8" Season 2 premieres this December 2016 on Netflix.
