Why Hailee Steinfeld Can Relate To Her Role As Nadine In Her New Film 'The Edge Of Seventeen'?

Hailee Steinfeld is the lead star of the newly released film "The Edge of Seventeen." Written by Kelly Fremon Craig, the movie is an honest and true interpretation of what a typical teenager is going through. Expressed in a comedy type of narration, the film is an instant hit among the millennials.

Hailee Steinfeld portrays the misanthropic Junior high student Nadine. She is easily annoyed for no reason but she tries to control it. He lost his father at an early age and has to deal with her mother who is coping as a single parent by dating people not suitable for the family. Nadine can only be proud of  his popular brother Darian (Blake Jenner) who looks after them.

Nadine's friend Krista (Haley Lu Richardson), dates Darian and ruins her world. Her confidante, and now only friend and teacher Mr. Bruner (Woody Harrelson), spends lunches and break times with her trying to sort her out in "The Edge of Seventeen," VOX noted.

Things just get from bad to worse when Nadine was obsessed with a handsome classmate and another one, Erwin (Hayden Szeto), likes her. Nadine, however, is drawn to the bad boy than the funny guy. As serious conflicts and emotions materialize, "The Edge of Seventeen" is real -and that is evident to the twist how her mother and the teacher would become.

The grief of teenagers must be taken seriously - and "The Edge of Seventeen"  is doing just that especially in dealing with broken pieces of life. Not just petty things but real scenarios and relationship dilemmas in a very entertaining manner.

The "Edge of Seventeen" might be made for the millennial crowd, but others who happened to watch the movie would be thankful that they survived the same ordeal. It always boils down to a having a difficult life but things get better as people in your life progress in- including you. It is now showing nationwide with the Nov. 18 launch date.
