NBA All-Star Guard Jrue Holiday And Tyreke Evans Set To Return To The Pelicans; Holiday To Play Against The Blazers This Friday

After two months of absence, NBA All-Star guard Jrue Holiday is now returning to the New Orleans Pelicans' lineup along with the recovering Tyreke Evans. Jrue Holiday spent his time taking care of her pregnant wife Lauren Holiday, as she was also diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Last September, Jrue Holiday asked for a leave from the Pelicans lineup as he needs to take care of his beloved wife. Now that Lauren already gave birth to their first child and her brain operation was done, Jrue is now ready to get back to business as per the Yahoo! Sports.

According to NOLA Reports, Jrue Holiday will return to in the NBA action this Friday, as the Pelicans host the visiting Portland Trail Blazers. Holiday was first rumored to play against the Orlando Magic, but the coaching staff has decided to let him play later this week.

Jrue Holiday's return will obviously bring back the Pelicans on track as the team is currently struggling from consecutive losses since the start of the NBA season. Not only that, another good news for the Pelicans is the return of Tyreke Evans on the lineup according to the Fan Rag.

The Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry was glad to announce the return of their two scoring leaders that it will bring back the team's regular rotation. Tyreke Evans was sidelined for almost a year after his right knee injury last February.

The Pelicans training staff confirmed that Evans' practice and workout will just be very light. Light means minimal and would not have any body contacts and will take it step-by-step. The Pelicans are now preparing Tyreke Evans for his return, targeting after the Thanksgiving day.

Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans are both scoring options for the New Orleans Pelicans. Once returned, the Pelicans lineup will obviously adjust to give way for their returning star players to help Anthony Davis boost the team and win games the way they used to be.
