"Longmire" Season 6 will be the series finale for the Craig Johnson-based TV show on Netflix. Deadline reports that the online streaming giant confirmed the show's final season.

In an interview with executive producers Hunt Baldwin, Greer Shephard and John Coveny, they expressed their gratefulness to the network for serving as the show's home from Seasons 4 through 6. They are also thankful that Netflix gave them the chance to wrap up the storyline through "Longmire" Season 6.

"Most importantly, we're committed to delivering a dynamic and satisfying conclusion to our fans that rewards their longtime loyalty," they said.

It is believed that Vic and Walt's relationship will be one of the highlights of "Longmire" Season 6. This is what happened in Johnson's books, which many believe will be what the Netflix series follows through.

While the producers are thankful that "Longmire" Season 6 will provide a fitting conclusion to the show's story, fans continue to air their disappointment with the network's decision. In a post on Twitter, a user asked if it was possible to renew the show in another network.

The show's official Twitter account, however, said that the producers are not intending to shop "Longmire" Season 6 to another network. This means that the show would definitely end with Season 6 no matter how hard fans try to get the show renewed for more seasons.

"Longmire" Season 6 premieres in September 2017 on Netflix.
