'Brooklyn Nine Nine' Season 4 Spoilers & Cast: First Look! Jake, Amy Take Relationship To The Next Level; Meet 'Mr. Santiago' In Show's Thanksgiving Episode

Despite rumors of being canceled, "Brooklyn Nine Nine" season 4 continues to give its fans that much need laugh. New updates about the current run suggest that there will be more in store for Peralta and the gang in this season.

As fans already know, "Brooklyn Nine Nine" season 4 episode 6 marked the return of Rosa Diaz's main squeeze, Adrian Pimento. In the previous episode, Rosa and Adrian badly wanted to get married immediately that caused quite a stir in the Nine-Nine precinct. Ultimately, their wedding was cancelled after Rosa and Adrian agreed that they could still get to know each other better.

Adrian's return raised a few questions- will he be a cast regular moving forward? Will fans get to see his and Rosa'a love story evolve in "Brooklyn Nine Nine" season 4, or will he just be another Vulture or Pontiac Bandit who will just be a recurring guest on the show? Fans will just have to wait to find out.

Meanwhile, Amy and Jake's relationship will be tested in "Brooklyn Nine Nine" season 4 episode 7 entitled "Mr. Santiago." As the title suggests, Jake and viewers of the show will meet Amy's father, played by Jimmy Smits, for the first time. In the November 22 episode, Jake will do whatever it takes to impress Amy's dad who was a former cop.

In an interview with series creator Dan Goor, he shared that the idea of casting Jimmy for the role was suggested by "Brooklyn Nine Nine" stars Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa) and Melissa Fumero (Amy) after they both had a nice encounter with the actor at an event they all attended. Luckily, Jimmy is a huge fan of the show and didn't think twice to be a guest star, Yahoo reported.
