‘Twilight’ Movie Remake: ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Exes Ian Somerhalder And Nina Dobrev To Replace Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart?

The "Twilight" movie remake will cast former lovers and "The Vampire Diaries" leads Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, reports indicate. Rumor has it that the TVD royalty will jump from one vampire series to a vampire movie to replace former lovers Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the new adaptation of "Twilight."

From a TV Series and a big screen movie, "Twilight" and "The Vampire Diaries" both ruled the vampire universe. The similarity does not stop there. Both of the flicks' lead stars R. Pattinson plus K. Stewart and I. Somerhalder plus N. Dobrev have turned their on screen romance into real life relationships that ultimately led to a famous break-up.

Celebs Rumor recalled speculations that surrounded the much anticipated remake of the hit vampire movie. "Twilight" is the first of the five installments of the movie adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling novel series.

As "The Vampire Diaries" kicked off its final season with Season 8, speculations arise that TVD's Damon and Elene have been chosen to be the new face of Edward and Bella Cullen of the "Twilight" remake.

Reports suggest that after her unexpected exit in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, Nina Dobrev was eyed to play the "Twilight" lead role. Hollywood Life claimed that in one of Dobrev's former interviews, she said she is a big fan of the vampire love story, even crediting it for paving the way for TVD's success.

As expected, if Nina Dobrev gets to play the role of Bella, Edward has to be Ian Somerhalder. After all, Somerhalder is somehow already connected to the "Twilight" series through his wife Nikki Reed who played the role of Rosalie Hale in the original vampire movie.

Nothing has been confirmed but fans can't help but speculate. Do you think Somerhalder and Dobrev should become the new Edward and Bella of "Twilight"?
