iPhone Specs Rumors: Three New Apple iPhone Models To Be Released In 2017; Two 5.5-inch Models Predicted To Come Out?

With the successful release of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus this year, there will be reportedly three new Apple iPhone models to be released again in 2017. The new models are predicted to come in 4.7-inch and two different 5.5-inch models.

According to 9to5mac, the new Apple iPhone models are expected to undergo major redesign, with one of the new models carrying an OLED screen display. The prediction report for the new Apple iPhone model design lineup for 2017 came from KGI Securities, a supply chain analyst firm.

In the report, KGI Securities predicts that one of the 5.5-inch models of the new Apple iPhone will carry the OLED display, while the 4.7-inch model and other 5.5-inch model will continue to use the TFT-LCD technology that current iPhone models are using.

The report also predicts that the dual-camera technology introduced on the iPhone 7 Plus will be applied on the 5.5-inch iPhone model. But the new Apple iPhone model with a 4.7-inch size will retain the single-camera technology.

Meanwhile, the 5.5-inch new Apple iPhone model with an OLED screen display is expected to price much higher than the current price of $649 and $769 for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models.

Appleinsider also reports that Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the person behind the KGI report, predicts that around 65 to 75 percent of the new Apple iPhone models that will be shipped by the tech giant in 2017 will have dual-camera technology, meaning more consumers will be buying the 5.5-inch models. This will be an advantage for Largan Precision, the company that supplies Apple lenses for its dual-camera technology.

Missing in Kuo's report, The Verge indicated, is the mention of a curved or even bezel-less form design like in previous rumors on the iPhone. However, he predicts that the new Apple iPhone models would be made entirely of glass.
