According to Market Place, Facebook and Google are trying to stop the fake news from spreading through stopping the money from coming in. Google said that it's working on a policy to which would prevent Ad Sense software from being used on websites that are responsible for spreading fake news.

Facebook, on the other hand, issued an update which implies that its rules prevented websites from using its ad-selling network. Facebook will be strict, together with Google in monitoring sites spreading fake news and impose sanctions that would directly affect monetary gains and profit returns.

Apparently, this measure was taken by both Facebook and Google as there were news sites spreading false news about the recent 2016 US Elections. Several news sites propagate fake news on the results and developments of the recent elections allegedly to gain more views, in turn getting more income.

Fake news on the 2016 US Elections alongside other inaccurate reports spreading will be the main focus of both Google and Facebook. This is a good development such that many depend on information based on what online media presents. All news found online should be accurate and from trustworthy sources.

As added by BBC, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook said that they won't want any hoaxes on its site. His goal is to show people that the content considered to be most meaningful are all accurate news.
