The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour has finally met its conclusion with Andy Murray winning the world number one tennis title before the year ended. Murray won his first ATP title over five-time champion Novak Djokovic on Sunday night in London at the O2 Arena.

ATP World Tour reported that the World Tour Finals ended with Andy Murray winning 6-3 and 6-4 over Djokovic. Andy Murray became the 17th man to finish a year-end with world number tennis one title in the Emirates ATP Rankings.

Andy Murray said in an interview that he is very happy to win and to have the world number one tennis title. And it was very a special match playing against Novak Djokovic. Andy Murray also ended the season on 24-match winning streak and with a career-best nine titles in 2016, including three ATP World Tour Masters over 1000 titles.

ATP World Tour Finals O2 Arena had the capacity crowd of 17,000 packed to witness a match that felt more like a heavyweight championship boxing bout than a tennis match, and it was Andy Murray who rose to this occasion.

According to BBC, Novak Djokovic said to the media that Andy Murray was definitely the number one in the world and he deserved to win. Andy Murray was the best player. "In the critical moments, I wasn't able to make my way back. I know that played better at the late part but it was too late and wasn't enough," said the five-time champion Novak Djokovic.

Andy Murray simply grew stronger at the ATP World Tour Final and Djokovic created more error-prone as the second set started.

Novak Djokovic recovered one break and raced through a service game to cut the deficit to 4-3, but Andy Murray steadied his ship and gave his couple solid serves that moved an early game victory.

In 2013, at Wimbledon Title, Andy Murray beat Novak Djokovic and he had to come through a tortuous 14-minute final game, but this match has more tension this time with everything and every title on the line.

What do you think of world number one tennis title holder Andy Murray against Novak Djokovic?
