Selena Gomez Post-Rehab News: 'Hands To Myself' Singer Makes Emotional Comeback At The AMAs 2016

After Selena Gomez spent some time off from the limelight and stayed in rehab to concentrate on her emotional and physical health, the "Hands to Myself" singer finally made her comeback. The 24-year-old ex-girlfriend of Justin Beiber stunned at the 2016 American Music Awards in her scarlet red sleeveless Prada ball gown last Sunday, Nov. 20.

Gomez wasn't just a gorgeous celebrity at the AMAs, she's one of the nominees for the Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist and Artist of the Year categories. Fans of Gomez quickly bombarded the singer's Twitter page with messages expressing their excitement over her return. Even her makeup artist Hung Vanngo shared a photo of the starlet on Twitter with a caption, "Reunited w/ this amazing lady today for the #AMAs."

Gomez previously revealed that she is suffering from a chronic inflammatory disease called Lupus, which also caused her anxiety and depression. The Latin Times reported that the simultaneous controversies surrounding Gomez may have also triggered her emotional health to go off balance.

The "Kill 'Em With Kindness" hitmaker has been no stranger to paparazzi and controversies throughout her young career. Among these include her on-again, off-again relationship with Justin Bieber and the other male celebrities being linked to her. Gomez has been reported to have dated Orlando Bloom and even Brad Pitt at the height of his divorce with Angelina Jolie.

The pop star's initiative to get professional help in the middle of her Revival world tour was the best decision she has made. No updates as of yet if she is set to continue her tour after it was cut short last August.  

At this year's AMAs, Gomez was well-received by the audience and also fellow celebrities. She went on to win the Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist award, BBC reported. The songstress touched the audiences when she said, "If you are broken, you do not have to stay broken," at the end of her acceptance speech.
