Samsung Galaxy S7 Latest Updates: Man Suffers 3rd Degree Burns from Exploding Samsung Cellphone

After the recall of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Samsung issued a recall of the batteries. Unfortunately for Samsung, even the replacement batteries exploded. This has resulted in a recall of the cellphone series. Recently, there was report of a Samsung cellphone explosion which caused a man second and third degree burns. This time it was a Samsung Galaxy S7.

Newwveryday reports that Amarjit Mann of Winnipeg, Manitoba, was driving when he felt that his cellphone was heating up. He pulled it out of his pocket and it exploded in his hands before he was able to throw it out his car.

He suffered second and third degree burns on his hands and wrists. A piece of the cellphone hit his face when the Samsung Galaxy S7 cellphone explosion happened. His car was filled with smoke due to the explosion.

According to Independent, explosions of Li-ion batteries are due to a malfunction in the electronics. When the liquid inside the lithium batteries come in contact with the electronic circuitry, the liquid becomes flammable. From there, it only takes a small spark for a Samsung Galaxy S7 cellphone explosion to occur.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 cellphone explosion prompted Mr. Mann to file a law suit against Samsung. Besides the Winnipeg incident, there has also been a report about another Samsung Galaxy S7 cellphone explosion from Pau, France. This time it was a Samsung J5 which exploded. The owner is also expected to file a lawsuit against Samsung because of the Samsung cellphone explosion.

This has not been a good year for Samsung. Even though the cellphone business is separate from the other parts of the company, other segments are also having similar problems. Recently, there were reports that a Samsung washing machine also exploded. This also prompted to Samsung to recall a few million units of this household appliance.

Samsung has yet to issue a statement on the newest case of a Samsung Galaxy S7 cellphone explosion.
