‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 23 Finals Part 1: Laurie And Valentin Dazzle The Judges During Last Perfomance [WATCH]

Part 1 of “Dancing with the Stars” Season 23 Finale featured the fierce competition among the four remaining dancing pairs. But at the end of the night, one dancing team is sent home and three will go on to battle it out to win the top prize. Read on to find out what happened during the performance night.

Just like in past seasons, the first dance style is chosen by the judges. Their choices are the dance styles which the couple showed difficulty in executing during the entire “Dancing with Stars” Season 23. The second dance style is a freestyle routine. Most of the time, this routine is the deciding factor of the judges on who would win the entire show.

Calvin and Lindsay Arnold are first up doing the Viennese waltz. Their second number included lifts, jazz, and jive. The couple scored 35 and 40.

Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy are the obvious crowd favorite. They perform pasodoble, which played to Laurie’s strengths. Their freestyle is also a fresh view for the judges. They scored 38 and 40.

James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess did a fox-trot and for their freestyle, which amazed both the audience and the judges. They scored 37 and 40.

For Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko, their tango did not go very well. The couple scored 35 and 36 and was sent home from “Dancing with the Stars” Season 23 Finale, as reported by US Weekly.

So, who will bring the Mirror Ball Trophy this season?

It is clear that Laurie Hernandez, the Olympic gymnast, is a crowd favorite and she and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy are rumored to be crowned as this season's champions. Recently, the 16-year-old's most acclaimed performance was an emotional dance which she dedicated to her grandmother who has just passed away, E! News reported.

Will Laurie and Val go on to win the DWTS Mirrorball Trophy? Which team are you rooting for? "Dancing With the Stars" Season 23 Finale Part 2 airs on ABC this Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 9 p.m.
