‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Crossover Episode Hints That Batman or Other Superheroes May Appear Soon

CW TV hit series 'Supergirl' may have given another hint for Batman's appearance. In its Season 2 premier, the mere mention of Gotham excites fans who speculated that a crossover of the two series may happen in soon. Did Kara just dropped another reference to Batman appearing in the next episodes or is it a different superhero this time?

DC fans have been looking forward to seeing Batman in the Season 2 of 'Supergirl' after directly referencing Gotham in its premier trailer. Fans may even get more excited as Kara mentions of a vigilante encounter by her cousin, Superman (Tyler Hoechlin).

"My cousin worked with a vigilante once," Supergirl says. "Tons of gadgets, lots of demons. Vigilantes are nuts!"

The lines definitely hints of another superhero that Superman has worked with in the past and it sounds very similar to Batman. Fans are now making speculations that a crossover of 'Gotham' and 'Supergirl' could be in the works.

Other past reference to Batman is the appearance of the character Maggie Sawyer (Floriana Lima) in Season 2. Sawyer is known as the partner of Batwoman in the comic series and she is playing a regular role in 'Supergirl'.

However, fans shouldn't get their hopes up high since Ali Adler, 'Supergirl' executive producer, says "I feel like we have our hands full with the crossover we're shooting right now." What he meant were crossover episodes of 'Supergirl', 'Arrow', 'The Flash' and 'Legends of Tomorrow'. "I think people will be satisfied with how much crossover they're getting this season." he added.

Batman or not, fans can expect more superheroes to appear in Season 2 as the crossover among the CW super-friends will be out soon. But if CW managed to introduce Superman in the show, there might be a chance that Batman may appear in 'Supergirl' Season 2. If not, Batman may show up in Season 3 based on the hints that were released in this season. The DC 'Invasion' crossover will air on November 28.
