Hard Boiled Movie Boasts Of Ben Wheatley and Tom Hiddleston

The movie adaptation of the comic miniseries Hard Boiled, which was published in 1993 by Dark Horse, could be the next movie sensation in town. For one, this movie which is still being negotiated by Warner Bros will star Tom Hiddleston under the direction of Ben Wheatley.

Comic book fans are however hoping that the Hard Boiled movie version will not veer away from the original comics as illustrated by Geof Darrow and written by Frank Miller who incidentally won an award for the series in the 1992 Eisner Award.

TV Tropes said the science fiction comic book Hard Boiled tells the story of gun-toting and kick-ass insurance investigator Carl Seltz, starting from his days as a municipal tax collector. The first issue reveals that he is a cyborg and is able to meet the physical demands of his job.

Later on, he suffered from memory loss and has started to call himself Nixon until he discovers that the Willeford Home Appliances had him built to serve as an assassin. Later on, the robots he had been chasing attempted to recruit Carl to help them revolt again their masters.

The Hard Boiled movie is not, however, Tom Hiddleston's first love affair with comic book adaptation since he also played Loki in the Marvel Studios movie. Comingsoon said Hiddleston is also part of the King Kong reboot. He will be seen once again by his fans play the role of Loki late next year in the movie Thor: Ragnarok. But before all these movies are shown, he will be seen in the crime thriller Free Fire A 24 in March 2017.

Comicbookmovie said Wheatley is a great choice for Hard Boiled since he has a background in comic thrillers that veer in the dark side. The series was also turned into an arcade video game making the Hard Boiled movie a sure hit among its followers.
